Martin "Gunny" Barreras Memorial Park

Martin “Gunny” Barreras Memorial Park began a substantial
renovation in 2022 which included new irrigation to all
existing sports fields, the construction of a new splash
pad and pump house, comfort station, sports lighting, an
expansion of the existing parking lot, pickleball courts, a new
fitness center, play playground, decorative concrete plaza,
ramadas, and shade structures. Gunny Park was a CMAR
and project and Durazo Construction was fortunate to have
been involved in pre-construction services at the onset. The
project was completed and reopened to the public in June of 2023
